Portuguese referee Pedro Proença Galatasaray vs  Juventus Champions League Group  B match was canceled because of snow.

Galatasaray’s Champions League Group B match against Juventus was suspended in the 32nd minute after heavy snowfall at the Ali Sami Yen Spor Kompleksi stadium on Tuesday.

Portuguese referee Pedro Proenca ordered both teams off the pitch to allow the lines to be cleared by ground staff.

The weather has taken a turn for the the worse inside the stadium. Heavy hail has covered the pitch in a blanket of white. The referee is calling for an orange ball to make it easier for the players to see.

Officials planned to resume the action after the surface had been cleared but continued heavy snow forced an abandonment with the game goalless.

Both sides can still qualify for the knockout stages of the competition.
