Home Secretary Alan Johnson has announced that Britain’s terror threat level as been increased to sever.

However the secretary did mention that there were no current information that terrorist are about the attack, but urged members of the public to be on guard and report and suspicious activity.

The increase in the terror threat has taken Britain to level two out of five, one being the highest level. The increase also means that an attack in Britain is “highly likely”.

The increase came just days after Gordon Brown warned terror cells were targeting the country in the wake of the syringe bomb plot.
