Activists say at least eight children are among the dead after the Syrian regime shelled a village in Raqqa Province.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has published a video of the aftermath of the bombing.
The video shows rows of blood-stained bodies laid out on blankets, and the sound of crying relatives can be heard in the background.
“At least 20 people, among them eight children and three women, were killed in shelling by regime forces of farmlands in al-Qahtania village, west of the city of Raqqa,” the Britain-based watchdog said.
Raqqa Province has seen an escalation of violence in recent months as rebels have launched an assault to seize several areas located on the Turkish border.
The shelling hit the village of al-Qahtania in Raqq Province. It remains unclear when the attack happened.
