The speculations surrounding the future of Atletico Madrid hotshot, Falcao, are not ending and that is why Atletico President, Enrique Cerezo, finally lost his temper when he was questioned about the Colombian’s future in the club.
Atletico Madrid president, Enrique Cerezo, can’t stand the unending rumors by the press regarding the fact whether Falcao will leave Atletico Madrid when the transfer window opens in January.
The Atletico hit-man, Falcao, had a sensational start to the season as he can’t stop finding the back of the net and is now a subject of constant rumors which suggest that his departure to team like Chelsea is imminent.
At least it’s understandable that Falcao is not going to Real Madrid, after their coach, Jose Mourinho, said last week that the player can’t come to Real Madrid because of unwritten agreement between the two rival clubs.
Regardless, the 26-year-old has been on the radars of many teams in Europe and now Atletico Madrid president, Cerezo, is getting tired of the constant talks on Falcao’s future.
When Cerezo was asked about this issue by reporters, he lost his cool and reacted angrily to them.
“I will not answer,” Cerezo stormed when cornered by reporters after a RFEF meeting. “Enough is enough. What do you want, that Falcao leaves goes to Chelsea? If so, tell him,” he retorted.
He continued saying that Falcao is with Atletico at the moment and that the media should stop with this unending drama and rumors regarding the future of their star.
“What do you want me to tell you? There comes a time when the stew smells like sick. Falcao is with Atletico Madrid for years to come and that’s it,” he added.
Finally, the 64-year-old cooled down and reflected on what he said and his personality.
“I’m not rude, but I’m really angry.” he concluded.
The Colombian international is still on fire and has so far scored 11 goals. He has also netted two goals for his national side, Colombia, in their 2-0 victory over Paraguay in the 2014 World Cup qualifier match.
