UEFA Champions League has officially announced that Russia’s gas giant Gazprom has become an official partner of the UEFA Champions League football tournament through 2015.
It will be entitled to extensive and exclusive branding rights around the tournament, including world’s best known marks as Heineken, UniCredit, Ford, MasterCard and PlayStation manufacturers Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) in one of the most coveted sponsorship categories in the sport.
Russia’s state-run gas giant Gazprom finally is an official partner of the UEFA Champions League and Uefa Super Cup for the seasons 2012 to 2015 and the UEFA Super Cup 2012, 2013 and 2014 after agreeing a deal with Uefa marketing partner Team Marketing AG.
The 3 year deal will see Gazprom’s involvement with Europe’s most prestigious club football competition through their exclusive services and products.

Russia’s Gazprom, the largest extractor of natural gas in the world becomes one of 6 sponsors of European club soccer’s elite competition until the end of the 2015.

As well as owning majority holdings in Russian champions Zenit St Petersburg and the Russian Premier League broadcaster NTV Plus, Gazprom is a major sponsor of German soccer club FC Schalke 04.
