Inter Milan V Rubin Kazan Vital match in Group F
Inter Milan Face Rubin Kazan in the last match of the group stages in the Champions League. Both teams know that only a win can advance them to the knock out stages of the Champions League with a draw would eliminate both teams.
Inter Milan Manager Jose Mourinho knows that being knocked out of the Champions League will put him into deep waters with his club with bad performances in the Seria A league. Inter Milan lost there last game against league rivals 2-1 on Saturday and know they need to get a result from the Rubin Kazan game to get back on track.
Inter is second behind Barcelona in Group with six points, two behind group leader Barcelona – which only needs to avoid a large defeat to Dynamo Kiev to secure their spot in the Champions League knock out stages.
Kazan also has six points but worse goal difference, while Dynamo is last with five. Both Inter and Kazan could miss out if they draw and Kiev beats Barcelona at home.
Midfielder Dejan Stankovic said “In the league we can go again, but in the Champions League we can’t It is a final against Rubin Kazan.”
However it is not all bad for Inter Milan as they have boosted the side with Wesley Sneijder and Maicon returning to the starting lineup after injuries. Maicon who missed the Juventus game through suspension will also feature in the game.
Rubin Kazan are very confident that they can get a good result out of the Inter Milan. Inter Milan had won only 1 of their last 10 Champions League games.
The Russian side won the League for a second time in a row on November and has not played for the past 10 days.
However, Kazan will be without defender Roman Sharonov who is out with a right knee injury and striker Aleksandr Bukharov who is recovering from wrist surgery.
