Kim Yu-na Wins Grand Prix FinalKorea’s Kim Yu-Na won the Grand Prix Final in Tokyo on Saturday with a score of 188.86 points, just 2.92 points above runner-up Miki Ando of Japan, who scored 185.94.

KimYu-Na finished the short program on Friday in second place with 65.64 points, behind Ando with 66.20, but by winning the free program on Saturday with 123.22 points, compared to Ando’s 119.74, she managed to finish the competition at the top of the podium.

The Korean star Kim Yu-Na won every competition she entered in 2009, including the Four Continents Championships, the World Championships, the Trophée Eric Bompard Grand Prix, the Skate America Grand Prix, and now the ISU Grand Prix.

Kim Yu-Na’s next big date is Feb. 23 next year, when the ladies figure skating competition kicks off at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

In order to realize her dream of becoming an Olympic champion, she will need to do some fine-tuning, paying close attention to small details and minimizing visible mistakes such as missing a jump or falling.
