Turkish Premier Erdogan Arrives in Tunisia

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Tunisia’s capital city Tunis early on Thursday.

Erdogan was welcomed with a formal ceremony by Tunisia’s transitional government’s Prime Minister Beji Caid Essebsi at Carthage Airport.

Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdag, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, Economy Minister Zafer Caglayan, Transportation Minister Binali Yildirim, Energy and Natural Resources Minister Taner Yildiz and Justice and Development (AK) Party Deputy Chairman Omer Celik are accompanying Erdogan.

A crowded group of Tunisians gathered in the airport to welcome Erdogan. They carried flags of Turkey, Tunisia and Palestine, and shouted slogans supporting Erdogan.
