Three Turkish aid workers have been arrested by Somalian security forces outside Mogadishu for involving in illegal food distributing.

Somali Government security forces reported to have been detained and interrogated three Turkish aid personell for distributing aid and food to drought victims without informing the Somali government in an area outside the Somali capital of Mogadishu controlled recently by the al-Qaeda terror body Al Shabaab insurgents.

The turkish aid workers went to distribute relief at a camp around 50km southwest of Mogadishu and were arrested after returning to the capital city. They were released after an interrogation.

On other Somalia News; Gunmen, whose identities are still unknown, raided the remote Kiwayu Safari Village in the early hours of Sunday, shooting dead publishing executive David Tebbutt, 58, and taking hostage his wife Judith, 56, before escaping by boat and Al Shabaab officers stated that  Al Shabaab has not abducted any Briton from Kenya or somali. It is  believed bandits roaming the coastline carried out the attack.

Last month, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan visited famine-stricken Mogadishu and promised that Turkey would help his fellow Somalians to deal with the crisis. Somalia is the worst affected country in the African Horn by the severest drought of the century, which has left more than 13 million people facing danger of starvation.
