Batman NationalTurk – fighting in the Turkish city of Batman has left five PKK terrorists killed and two Turkish soldiers injured.

The incident took place at the Beşiri county borough while Turkish security forces were going through an operational drill.

Turkish authorities have said that, security forces who were on an operational drill and PKK terrorists exchanged fire resulting in five PKK terrorist being killed and two soldiers having minor wounds.

It was also reported that one of the terrorist shot dead was female.

After a search in the area, four Kalashnikov machine guns, one M-16 Machine gun, 100 electronic fuses, a small amount of C-4 explosives and a remote control device.

It is thought that the terrorists were on a mission for the PKK to deploy a roadside bomb, but this information has not been confirmed.
