Reports are flooding of Pakistani forces with helicopter gunships killing up-to 15 Taliban militants after they attacked a checkpoint and convoy in the Northwest of the country.

Recently, Pakistani security forces have intensified their operations on al Qaeda-linked militants in Bajaur in the country as part of its efforts to defeat Pakistani Taliban militants.

The Latest fighting broke out on Sunday in the militant stronghold of Wara Mamoon in which 15 militants were killed along side one Pakistani soldier.

Pakistan’s Taliban denied a report on Sunday that their leader Hakimullah Mehsud was killed in a U.S. drone aircraft strike.
