Terrorists from the Islamist group Boko Haram have attacked on the night of Tuesday, a boarding school in northeastern Nigeria. According to the military, the fights are said to have stormed the school grounds and then set fire. The building burned to the ground, at least 29 students were killed.
“From some students is only the ash left over,” said a police spokesman. The dead included all been boys. The girls of the boarding tract remained intact.
The attack occurred in the town of Buni Yadi in the northeast of the country. In the region Boko Haram is fighting for the establishment of an Islamic regime. Several times earlier, the terrorist group, whose name translates as “Western education is sin” is, attacked schools. In a similar attack in the village Mamudo in June last year, 22 students were killed.

Many Boko Haram fighters use the nearby Cameroon as a retreat. From there, they prepare now before the majority of their attacks. On weekends, Nigeria closed its borders to the neighboring country, at the same time emphasized Jonathan but the good cooperation between the two countries in fighting terrorism.
